Cookie Policy

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They are commonly used to keep you signed in, remember a preference, or measure how a site is used. Related technologies — local storage, pixels and similar identifiers — work in much the same way, and we treat them under this policy too.

Cookies We Set

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, how people arrive, and whether the contact form is working. Google Analytics only sets its cookies if you choose Accept on the banner that appears on your first visit. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set.

With your consent, Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga, which lasts two years and distinguishes one visitor from another, and _ga_0WM26XM42L, which lasts two years and keeps track of your session. The information is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, and we keep it for fourteen months.

Without consent, the page still tells Google that a visit happened, without setting cookies or storing an identifier on your device.

We store your choice in your browser's local storage under arc-consent, so that the banner does not ask again on every page. It holds only the word granted or denied.

We do not use any advertising or retargeting service, and we do not build an audience from this site.

Cookies Set By Others

The showreel on our homepage is hosted by Vimeo and played through an embedded Vimeo player. Loading that player places three cookies on your device from vimeo.com. All three are set by Cloudflare, Vimeo's infrastructure provider, and are used to keep the player working and to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.

They are: __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes and is used for bot management; cf_clearance, which lasts a year and records that a visitor has passed a security check; and __cf_ob, which is a session cookie and is cleared when you close your browser.

These are Vimeo's cookies, not ours. We cannot read them, and the information they hold is handled under Vimeo's own privacy policy and cookie policy.

Fonts

Our typefaces are served by Adobe Fonts. Loading a page requests the font files from Adobe's servers, which means Adobe receives your IP address and the page you are viewing. Adobe Fonts does not set cookies on this site.

Forms

If you fill in our contact form, what you type is sent to us by email so that we can reply. No cookie is set in the process, and the form does not remember you on your next visit.

Managing Cookies

You can change your analytics choice at any time with the button at the end of this page.

You can also refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser allows you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear what is already stored. Blocking third-party cookies will stop Vimeo's cookies being set. The embedded showreel may not play if you do, but the rest of the site will work normally.

Browsers that block third-party cookies by default, and private or incognito windows, already prevent most of what is described above from persisting.
